Who told you it was dead? It is still a federally funded program and very much alive. Hard economic times like this was all that was needed for the feds to threaten the withholding of funds to get the states to come on board.

There were a few Senators from the East coast that were trying to cut off funding for the program but last I heard they were not successful.

Not today. Really don't wanna hear this stuff today. I think I'm gonna spend the day doing something else. Not everybody agrees about everything, and I just don't want to feel like the minority today. I get that enough every OTHER day.

No arguments here, just posting some relevant info.

Besides I am getting ready to head out to lay under a semi for a bit. Got called yesterday to go look at a brake problem. Seems the trailer brakes are not adjusting up as they should. Should have went yesterday but it was much too nice to work other then here.

Wasn't talking about you, NN. You usually only post facts that can be backed up. I'm talking about inflammatory opinions that aren't shared by everybody and have no basis in true middle of the road facts (i.e. facts that aren't skewed to one side or the other, in a form of spin-doctoring that just won't DIE).

Hiya Ms. Faerie,

Yeah, I'll take some coffee. I seem to be drinking more coffee than usual lately. I don't know if that's good or bad. And the truth is, I really don't care.

Hey Al and Monty. How is the planning coming? Anything I can do from here?

Sounds to me like this is a short path to high food prices in U.S., someone is going to have to soak up the cost of this program to the producer and if history serves that someone will be the end user, the consumer, us. On the other hand I think there is a silver lining for those that want it. This is going to promote buying it local, raise it yourself, the getting back to self Sufficient movement. Barter and trade between local, small time producers to avoid higher costs at market and so forth.

Overall, I'm against it... but I have a nagging habit of looking for the good side.
