LOL don't be such a stranger then, we have missed ya woman. What have you & Carl been up to ??.

It has been the longest week.... I dont feel like I have gotten much sleep. My sister started going to the emergency room last weekend. For a week she hurt and I have been helping my mom tend to her and her son. We have been trading off. Then thursday my nephew came down with measles due to his 1 yr old shots and my sister was awaiting a surgical consult on her gall bladder. So I have had my nephew since thursday. Finally my sister was in so much pain that her and her husband went back to the ER Saturday night and they scheduled her for emergency surgery yesterday morning.. It took 5 hours. Doctor had to go in the old fashion way and rebuild some of her drain tubes due to the swelling of her gall bladder. I still have my nephew. Looks like she will be in the hospital for 3 days, 2 weeks before she can return to work sitting at a desk, and 4 to 6 weeks before she can lift her son. It is going to be a long 4 to 6 weeks and when this is all done my mom and I might just run away!

Steph : yeah you have been going alright, I sure hope all goes well with her and we are thinking of you. Take care of yourself.

Steph - The Porcelain OEGB are doing great. They are so pretty. I saw on the OEGBCA that you & Carl and another couple (in MS) are the only ones listed for the Porcelain variety. WOW! There are so many rare breeds and varieties from the Okies on here.

Just a note on what I will be hatching in time for the POOPS auction.

EE Bantams
Golden neck D"uccles
Buff Mottled D"uccles
Barred Rock Bantams
Possibly some NN Bantams
Quail D'anvers
Mille Fleure OEGB's
Blue OEGB's

This is a great selection of some very hard to find breeds, so make your plans to get you a few trio's of these fine chicks.

.............................................POOPS AUCTIONS REMINDER..............................................

I am now actively accepting consignments for both of our POOPS auctions coming up in May. Please contact me via pm with anything you would like to auction off. We will accept almost anything that is poultry related,

art's & crafts, hatching eggs, chicks, misc coop equipment= nest boxes, feeders waters etc, chickens, turkey's, peafowl, quail, rabbits, cages, feed, bedding..................you get the idea.

1). The 1st auction is our POOPS donation auction whereby the proceeds go to fund our annual POOPS events in order to cover our vast expenses required to host such a large event.

2). The 2nd auction is our sellers for profit auction, whereby the seller benefits from the sale of their items.

3). Don't forget to look for some items to donate to the Raffle, which has always been such a big hit, contact Gracefulbantams for your raffle consignments.

Thanks you all once again for helping make our annual POOPS event such a big success.

I'm thinking that I'm going only keep 1 each of the 2 breeds I got at Lumber 2 and Atwoods (RIR pullets and whatever pullet that was that I bought at Atwoods). Thinkin' I'll probably donate those to the POOPS auction.

im like a kid in the candy store when it comes to chickens , i cant say no if i like the bird even if i dont have a mate for it lol ......... that is why i have so many now but i look at it this way , it makes for a good layer flock til i find them a mate lol plenty of eggs to hatch for people who want birds just for eggs since not many actually eat their home grown birds now days , except for a few here locally
