My ducks and guineas have always layed in the coop. They started on their own and I approve. The chickens, on the other hand, have started laying in the hay bale in the garage.
I'm telling myself no more chicks. Why? Because I've got some coming in with Mueksy's order when she gets back from her vacation, 4 still living in the brooder (currently perched on the side of it, hanging out) and will be starting to brood out black runner ducks when they arrive next week.
So. No more chicks for me... I've got enough to handle. I still wish I had those other 9 though *sigh*.
Oopsie. Gotta run out and feed the outside chickens. I came home, thought I had time to catch an hour nap before class, and forgot to set the alarm, so I slept through the class. Apparently I'm finally starting to run out of steam before 1am

Why don't you bring them with you to Blanchard and sell them there.

Do chicks sell good at Blanchard. HOw much is the commission? I also have a pair of hamburgs, a pair of silver laced wyandott's, a light brahma bantam hen, a bantam white cochin roo, plus a few more. Should I bring them also or would I do better on Craigslist?

The chicks may do Ok since there hasn't been many yet, as far as the others they should do as well or better than CL, but I can't say for sure ya know the whole auction thing, just remember you can always PO them.
