Im getting ready to pull chicks out of the hatcher today if you are interested. they are Ameraucanas, different colors.
Thank you Stephanie - those sound exactly what I need. I will eventually end up with the chicks after the class project is finished and I personally love Ameraucanas and had given the class green eggs from 4 different hens. I sent you a PM.
Glad you found some.
Brings back memories of my 1st solo trip to OK. Eighteen kindergartners, day 26 not a single pip, leisurely drive to Atwoods in Bartlesville because "no problem they had plenty"
, frantic calls twenty minutes later because I thought I'd missed the turn to Claremore since it was "just a left after the bridge you can't miss"
, more frantic calls after I made the turn and realized I'd be hitting Claremore right at closing time
, followed by a long, dark drive back to the school praying I'd eventually run into something I recognized that I could navigate back home from.
This year I took a broody about 5 days out to hatch.
