Yeah I've had them before. I am going to let this one grow up with them but that don't mean I will trust her with them!lolI'm not for sure we will keep her,I just got rid of the last pack of four because the neighjbors got tired of them barking.Thats when we went to Taco dogs!
How are you and your wife doing. Guess your both working hard at the vets,and with all those birds and horses at home. Read somewhere you had around 200 birds! That would happen to me if I ever got an incubator. Iwouldn't ever turn it off!lol

Noob question.

I'm feeding my chicks chick starter as it says for weeks 0-8. They're also catching bugs at night under the light. Should I feed them grit too?
Also when they get older what should I feed them? Layer feed? How about the grit? Scratch?

Sorry Stimp! Wife has been watching the games all evening. She is the sports nut in our house!

Perry- You can continue the chick feed or start adding scratch or switch to a grower or a layer ration. Some only give the scratch as a treat. If you have bantams its not a bad ideal to feed a gamebird starter or grower.

As for ,it won't hurt them to have it. I give my chicks acess to oyster shell early ,my thinking is it seems to help develop hard feathers and strong bones faster.
