Howdy everyone!
Well, my little Polish pullet is still sitting on her hocks, not at all coordinated but she is acting normal...believe it or not! she is eating, drinking and preening and is bright eyed. So strange. She is a very pretty black crested black and white splash baby and very sweet. I hope very much that she recovers from whatever she has...she is such a character.
In the big coop where the laying flock lives, the Delaware hen that was acting strange as well, is better tonight. She still looks kinda rough but she is definitely better. I am so ready for all of these guys to be OVER whatever it is that they have. I miss being able to go out and just hang out with the birds. One thing about treating all of your flock...they become wary of you. I hate it that they don't run at top speed to come see me when I appear at their gate. **SIGH**
This weekend we are going to be building a turkey pen for our turkey poults. They are very good looking turkeys and I can't wait to let them out of their shop brooder pen so they can be REAL birds--OUTSIDE!
I am sad that we have to work on the pen only for one reason...we will miss the Fletcher auction.
But on the other hand...we will get the turkeys out of the shop!
I also have to spend some quality time on the tractor this weekend mowing...takes about 4 hours...UGH!
What is everyone else doing this weekend?
