I have a few birds I am going to let go and was wondering the best auction to take them to? Already tried craigslist and didnt get a bite. Got a few silkies and a couple bantam naked necks. I have been to a couple auctions and didnt see much of either type there for sale. Any advice or recommendations?

Poultry swap in Nevada, Mo on Sunday if anyone is up for a little drive. Get out and beat the heat by driving some where to look at birds.
I'll be there with a bunch of nice birds. Black langshans, standard cochins, old english, fantail and frill pigeons, and other stuff.
If your interested in it let me know and I'll tell you the specifics of the ordeal.

Who is planning to go to Blanchard tomorrow night? I don't "need" anything that can be purchased at an auction, but it is always nice to sit and visit with fellow poultry addicts

In any event, I plan to go out to Mary's Swap Meet early in the morning and say hello to Michael Daugherty and anyone else who might be wandering around looking for stuff that would be useful for the poultry and critters.

You have bantam NNs? We could buy those and give them to Peaches and Doc as a gift.

- that way, Doc wouldn't have to worry about anyone enabling Peaches during his absence - he will get to build them a pen himself

Seriously, there is an auction within an hour or two of you almost every weekend - hard to say which one is the best one from a seller's standpoint. It depends on what else is available at the auction and whether there is more than one buyer interested in a particular bird.

6 pm would certainly put your birds at the tail end of the sale. Whether they would sell for a good price would depend on how late the sale goes and how many fans are there to keep everyone from leaving early.

they are black, one has dark skin, it was supposed to be a smooth feathered showgirl? but it has some white tips to some feathers that is really pretty, smooth feathered but very very soft feathering, it has feathered feet and a poofy crest, lol...the other one has pink skin, smooth feathered.

One thing about bantams, they generally are not purchased for frying, so anyone buying them will likely use them in a breeding program or for yard ornaments.

If you asked my husband, he would probably say the same thing about my poultry acquisitions
