You are allowed to lock your own cage at almost any show, but you just have to be there to unlock it when the judge gets to your birds' row. Even zip ties work well.

Welcome Jess-W! I've added you to our Okie Roll Call (link in my signature line) - it sounds like you caught the same chicken bug we all have!

I had a great trip out to the Panhandle - visited all my family, and took a trip out to the YL Ranch on Monday - that's the ranch where my cousin Hank the Cowdog lived. Visited with a couple of his progeny then swung by Hank's Memorial in Forgan, OK. Went to church at both the churches my "retired" father preaches at now - Union Center and Hardesty. I could see Hooker over on the horizen on Sunday, but I didn't see Teach.

Maribeth - glad to hear your grandson's surgery went well.

I haven't caught up on posts yet, so going back to read them now.

Congratulations Robin! You deserve to be recognized for both your kind heart and artistic talent, not to mention your love for feathered things!

Just finished catching up....

Looks like Doc's going away party was Much Fun - thanks for the pictures, Al. Am sorry to hear that Alyssa's diagnosis wasn't as hoped - prayers always! Love you, buddy.

Betsy! Congrats on the lavender showgirl - how exciting!

Grace - congrats on the new position - you'll be great at it.

Na-Na - so glad all your people and animals made it through that nasty trailer stunt - that just sounds scary.

Teach. Yo!

City! - you came all this way and didn't come party with us! You dirty dog! I have most of my class creatures here at home. You could have had your picture taken covered in hugable snakes! Plus I could have let you have a few pigeons.

According to what I've read, you can inject Tylan in the breast muscle or under the skin. I have also heard of folks giving it orally, too, although I don't know how effective that would be if she shook her head and more splattered than got down her gullet...
