Just picked up my feed. Chopped corn is currently $8.03 per 100#.

that is really a good deal! I just paid $6.79 for a 50 lb bag which would be $13.48 for 100#

Coons got in and killed my Goldens about 2 months ago. However, I may be able to find some if y'all are interested. I know 2 people that had some eariler this year that I can try to contact.

I have a pair of red golden pheasants and a single yellow gold pheasant cock that needs a hen.

Would these be the Siapan Jungle Fowl???? Lynn

I think either that or the aseel or however you spell it. Went to the Rose auction today, it was rooster heavy but nothing really caught my eye, I did manage to sell a few top hats that I hatched out a few months ago though, I still cant retire but at least I'm not feeding them anymore.

A new thing from the sale today, the Ag Dept, had employees out testing all the birds for avian flu, anyone who attends Fletcher might be ready for it. Its free but they dont ask, I about tore into the guy when he grabbed one of my pullets by the neck and pulled it through a hole in the cage to jam a swab down its throat. They should give a warning to people because we about had issues.

The black turken is a new hen I got at the auction today. She is like my bald head, sun shines on her and you are blinded!lol. She is not a bantam nor no where near a standard size. But I will use her to cross on my bantams to get that full open neck. You can see RoHo in the background,he has a big bow tie and I need to open that up so hopefully this hen will help get that done. And she layed after I got her!

The hens and roos were way down today. Buyers said the market is flooded because people are already selling out for the winter. I know I sold a bunch today and it was sure a buyers market!

Double stud they do that testing at some of the sales I go to in Kentucky also. I wouldn't mind except that when they check to see who owns the bird you had better be from that state or they will nail you!

Here is an ideal that might help sales of for any of you silkiy raisers! I found this on another forumn and thought they were so cute. Makes me wish I had some so I could die them!lol. I can see this going over big at swaps.

I for one love the pics. The more the merrier.

The Ag tester was out at chupps testing for AI. He said he was spot testing the birds that he could reach easily. Mine were NPIP and AI tested in March, and I had made that note on each box beforehand.
