Guy Rose South of Stillwater on Sat. morning and then Sat evening I think the Blanchard auction is going on.

Howdy Q. Sorry to hear of the illness but if your itching to auction you have to be feeling better.

I think Grace's sig. line has a list of auctions if you click on it. Just checked, sure does. Drop back one page.

City your folks's place is very nice! I bet that winter wind howls thru there and those spring storms too! Sounds like dad is a ruff and tough old farm hand. Good that he is mellowing a little with age. I'm sure he has instilled some great life values and lessons in you and made you the great independent lady you are today. Cherish those good times they have a habit of disapearing all too soon.

Hey Q good to see you back. Sorry about the lymes, they say that is rough.

Les the nn bantam I got from Mr Bill is a rri cross. He has a little too much bow tie but you are right,it brings down the size and keeps the stout body.

From the looks of that rooster his parentage is probably either from Bates Bantams or from James Cooper in Tx. Teva and I have stock from both places and I am very familiar with these two lines.

This bird is from Bates Bantams

These birds are from James Cooper.

I really like her. no sign of feather or follicle at all any place. And I bet that bare strip runs all the way to her tail if you would part the feathers and look.

Teva likes the bow tie and I like the completely bare neck. But I will comprimise with a small bow tie. LOL

Both lines of those RIRs actually came from the same breeder many years ago, isn't it funny how the lines have evolved?

It's often said that it takes 6 generations to make a line your own. Everyone interpets the Standard just a hair bit differently.

Yes I see the same thing in the roller pigeons, everyone has their ideal of what makes a good looking bird and even more ideals what makes a good flyer! You just about have to breed your own strain and go from there.

This is a pic of my gma's turken, if it uploaded, just trying to figure out how to upload pics, and distract myself from an asthma attack.

Awesome it half worked, got the pic uploaded, not so much the distraction part.

hey guys , how is every one ?

NNbreeder , nice to see you and im glad to see you were talking about crossing a nn with a rir , i have been doing that here myself , mine are large fowl , but this was kinda an accident here tho , since my nn hen is ALOT smaller than the roo lol , and the roo kinda took over the big king pen spot in the free range coop , so he has whipped his way to the top of the coop , he has a bit of a dewlap also tho , but i was told that some people have crossed the madagascar games with nn so idk , but anyway the chicks look awesome , little to no bow ties for now that is , i have out of the roo from black austrolorp hens, EE hens, and the rir hens, and soon from some of the barred rock hens , next i will cross him with some buff hens most likely lol , to bad i dont have any white hens at the moment , i think some white nn would be pretty nice
