Hi Donnie

You might consider looking at the Ameraucana Breeder's Club website and asking if there will be any breeders coming to the Shawnee Show. It looks like their National meet is October 23 in Kentucky.
In 2005, I attended a chicken show in Duncan during November and met some Ameraucana breeders. I bought some nice birds out of the back of their trailers and then met one in Shawnee a few weeks later to pick up some nice "pure" Ameraucana roos and hens. The fellow was from Texas and told me that he almost always attends the Shawnee Show. I don't recall his name, but at that time he was on the Board of Directors or an officer in the Ameraucana Breeder's Club. Good luck! I know there are some nice "started" birds out there - it is just a question of finding the right contacts.

thanks marybeth , i have a trio of white ameraucanas i got from pips&peeps , and i do plan to attend the shawnee and fayetville show , i guess i could call pips&peeps and see if any of them are going to be there or i will find out when the show gets here , but by then i am liable to come up with more birds i want lol

Probably no pic's, I am taking her to dinner if she want's but I am picking up this really cool gift. I found this place here in Lawton that is a really nice luxury spa, well decorated rooms with nice scent's and calming music of choice, where she will be pampered for hours. Facial's, massage, nails done & pedicure, all sorts of cool things I toured it yesterday and got her the works I will have some roses waiting in her spa room when she get's there. I think she will really like it.

Yeah with her health problems and constantly feeling bad, I thought that would be the perfect gift. She can go whenever she feels like it.

Al - you get extra stars on your "man card" for taking a tour of a girlie spa so that you could be sure it was what your sweet wife would enjoy.

Is it too early to begin planning auction attendance this weekend? I plan to actually attend one or two.

Speaking of which, I'm going to have chicks for sale very soon! I have quite the assortment due to hatch (not just from my birds), so if you are looking for a specific breed, let me know!
