Wow, that's a nice one! Most of ours are pretty shy, which comes from living in an area where everyone has lots of guns, I guess. I'd think about keeping the pelt, if you haven't already. I'm not big on killing for fur, but that cat needed to go anyway.

Wow I didn't think we were ever going to get taht last page full!lol

Hope all had a good day. I let a bunch of chickens out to free range and No hawks!

Mine are about to stop laying, two turkens and two ees is all that are laying. At least if they don't lay they won't tempt me when they want to set. I am supposed to get my pair of Pyercheon (spelling may be off) thursday. They are the porcelian variety.

I've got the posts read, finally, and feel like I'm caught up. My chicks are growing fast. I found a white Chantecler trapped inside the feeder when I got home today. He was screaming to be let out, so I tipped the feeder and off he went. I think it took him all of five seconds to get over the trauma. I put a plastic lid over the top of the feeder to prevent any of the others from getting stuck inside. I'm going to have to cut a bigger lid and tape it in a cone around the top to keep the little hoppers from sitting up there. I'm sure it's fun to sit way up high, but it's gross to have the little thrill seekers pooping in their feed.

Armadillos are thick in our yard and pasture. I nearly stepped on one today while out checking the pens. He didn't run when we met, just looked at me like I was interrupting his dinner, and then turned and walked away slowly, as if to tell me he was leaving, not because I was there, but because he was tired and was headed home anyway. This armored walking ball has moved so much dirt in my yard that I'm tempted to put in a winter garden.

Yes Grace, they are from eggs from Hinkjc. Thats the only reason I was willing to pay so much for them. They have a pair of the mille colored but want to keep them,I am going to tell them call me first if they do get rid of them.

PoCo its unusall to see them out during the day. Your right they can sure tear up the ground.Wonder if they are edible! Teach would proably know!lol(shh,I'm baiting him to show himself!)

Doodle,

I see the armored bowling balls at night quite frequently. I heard this one before I saw him. He had his nose in the ground and was grunting and snuffling. His back is nearly the same color as the grass he was in, so I might have missed him if he hadn't been making so much noise. Do you think they can get used to people? Usually they run from me, but this guy was merely annoyed to see me. I always imagined they would taste like turtles, with all that heavy armor, but maybe they taste like chicken

I agree - the picture of the armadillo is really cool. I have never seen one that had the detail of the armour like your picture does. With its pink nose, it is almost so ugly it is cute. Don't think I want to get one cornered however
