I was trying to catch a coachwhip once that sought refuge under a large rock, when I got a grip on the rock to flip it over something that felt like getting my forefinger smashed against the underside of the rock with a hammer made me drop it, I looked the finger over expecting to see obvious damage to go along with all the pain but there was nothing at all so I thought maybe it was some kind of pulled nerve thing since the rock weighed a few hundred pounds so I got another grip and rolled it over and found a smashed scorpion where it had nailed me on it's last dying effort, the thing was covered with babies some smashed some still hanging on and a bunch scrambling for their lives, it's a wonder I only got hit once. It hurt like a wasp sting for the first few seconds but then was no worse than a bee sting after a bit. I have them in the yard but pay more attention to watching out for fiddlebacks, black widows, copperheads and pigmy rattlers these are a lot more common and much worse LOL

Pigmy Rattlers?!!!!! Yikes. Michigan doesn't have any poisonous snake except for the rare sighting of a timber rattler. I need to be more conscious of such dangers!

We've had two people in the area bitten by pygmy rattlers, to include a down-the-road neighbor. I've only seen copperheads, but we have a creek that runs across the property and loads of woods and brush, so we are a snake heaven.

Mjgigax,
Well Al might buy your breakfast if you ask really nice.

At this point I would say yes but you never know what we will cook up. Literally and figurtively.

I have been haulting the cedar logs from your neighbors house but the guys cutting them haven't been there for a few days. I wonder if something happened?

Anyway I can your coops from the street there.
You have some really nice pens.

Donna, I tried to call Carah but she didn't answer.
