Awesome. Is there an official membership or do you just hang out and swap poultry?

All are welcome who share a love of poultry or who's lives have been touched by poultry (good or bad!). We swap birds, talk poultry, have good times & eat mass quantities of food.

official meet is once a year, with lots of unofficial meets at various poultry related activities throughout the year.

I can help with directions! If you are in Stillwater, it is fairly easy. Just follow 177 south. It curves somewhere (Perkins?) but just follow the highway, you will cross the turnpike (44 you'll go under it), Hwys 66 and 62 and go under I-40 right when you get to Shawnee. The expo center is just off of 177 less than one mile south of I-40, you can't miss it, there is a stoplight where you turn. It should take right under an hour to get there depending on where you live in Stillwater. I made it to OSU from Shawnee in less than an hour.

Babie, you will have to get the location from someone else that will be along soon, the only thing I can remember is that I went south off of I-40. They start early I think we met at the Ihop at 5am last year so the one's showing could be at the show by 7am to get their birds ready before judging. Betsyok has silkies & if you flip back a few pages she listed what she was going to bring to sell, she has very good silkies.

Once the cold really sets in & the board gets so busy that you can't keep up with the posts it will be talked about alot & you will find out all you ever wanted to know about it.

Hmmm...all this talk about dogs and cats makes me think...I've got a wonderful dumped dog that just got spayed and is chicken-friendly if anyone is interested. The best we can tell is she's about 18 months old, lab/pit mix that is jet black. She will bark and growl if a strange dog or person comes up. She was dumped a week before giving birth. I've never seen puppies born skinny. We were going to put her down because she was the skinniest living dog I've ever seen, and I used to be a vet tech.

We really didn't think she'd make it, but now she's fat and happy.

She's a great dog, and seems happy, but I just wonder if she'd be happier with a family that is devoted to her. We just don't love her as much as she loves us, you know? We've got our "main dog" and I just don't feel like it's fair to her.

Anyway, she is healthy and happy now, and if anyone is interested, let me know. She is safe with the birds and pigs and horses. Loves cats and other dogs, if they are supposed to be there. She housebroke herself and is a pleaser. She knows some basic commands, and has gotten over her fear of men. She LOVES kids.

If you are interested, shoot me a PM. I can send a pic, but you can't see any details...she's too black! She looks like a black blob. LOL!

I plan to get some of those too, eventually!

I heard that video on youtube a few weeks ago, it was INSANE!!!!!!!! It would be perfect for those that have bad neighbors that can't legally do anything about your chickens!!! (insert evil laugh)
