Audrey, You might try the Chupp's auction which is this Saturday between Choteau and Inola. They usually have a lot of chickens for sale.
Are you new to our group? If so Ii will add you to our Okies list and by the way

I haven't ever been, though I only live about 20 minutes from there and my parents live 5 miles from it...lol. I do believe that poultry sells with the cages they are in. But I'd take my own cages because I have seen some of the "cages" birds have left there in. I sure wouldn't trust them....folks just create makeshift holders for the birds...lol.

Audrey, you have to provide your own cages or containers, and they do sell with the poultry.

The cages are stacked in rows on the ground under a big pole barn. The auctioneer rides through the rows on a golf cart while he takes the bids.

Hope this helps.

The GP has to go now. Mom is going out of town. I have waited and waited I can not wait any longer. I am so sorry, I would rather not go into the reasons why she must go, just know the dog is healthy and happy, we need the yard she is in for another dog that is getting beat up. Please send me a message.

Luvs, I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe you should put an ad on Craigslist for her. Also, Gerald and I just left the Chupps auction in Inola and spoke to a lady that said her brother is looking for a GP pup. I told her you had one and to check this website. I sure hope she does. Gosh, I hope someone gets her soon!

To change the subject ... At theChupps auction, we met Earnest, (aka Coondog) and his wife there ... Nice meeting you both and thank you for getting some silkies! We bought some lionhead reabbits, a couple of mini lops, and 6 baby india blue peacocks. The prices were high at first, but very reasonable by the end of the animal auction. We had fun, but it SURE IS A LONG WAY FROM HOME! Now I need to sell some rabbits!

If all goes well, we still intend to go to the Cement auction this evening. We were hoping to bring some of our chickens to sell, but it doesn't look like we'll have time. Gerald is driving as I type, and we just left Tulsa. It's a long way from Tulsa to Cement!

Where Oh Where have all my peeps gone?
Where Oh where can they be?

Anyone looking for anything special in the way of chickens.?

Anyone trying to downsize for the winter?
What ya got?

Anyone looking to upsize now and avoid the spring rush?

I have a few Gold Campine and Cuckoo Maran Cockerals I would part with.

I have sold all the hens I plan to sell for this year but I still might buy a few.

I need a few (3 or 4) more Buff Orpington pullets or hens.

I am thinking about starting a line of Polish.

I am also am considering getting some Naked necks.

I currently have seven lines going and really need to keep it at three or four but here I go talking about adding more.

Well everyone chat it up. I'll be back in a few.
Time for a snack and the news.

I just had to share they my son Austin show 8 of his chickens today and the county fair. This was his first show. He won first with his white silkie trio. He won first with his light bramha roo. He won first with his gray silkie pullet. He won first with one one of his white silkie hens. He won first with his golden laced polish roo. Then he won grand champion with his golden laced polish roo and reserve grand champion with his white silkie. This was a small show but he loved it and I think that he done great with his chickens. All in all he won 11 blue ribbons, 1 red and 1 white. He got a blue duffle bag for his grand champion and a red duffle bag for his reserve. Can you tell I am a little proud of him?

Do you mean Buff laced, or Gold? I have blue/splash and some Gold, though I'm not sure yet what I have in the Gold. I have 6 youngsters in the Gold, and I'm only thinking of keeping a trio.
Congrats to your son!

Well...I'm pleased to announce that I will be producing Lavender Orpingtons in the spring. I won an auction on eggbid last night for a pair of split black/lav Orps from the Hinkle's lavender Orp project. I'm so excited!!!

I have lots of extra roosters in various breeds I need to re-home...some breeding trios/quads of Sebrights, and some extra Polish youngsters....that all need new homes.
