oklahoma chickenstock-- SUCCESS!!!AWESOME!!!THANKS TO ALL!!

the testing will be free, for everyone. And the test results are good for one year, so that means if you plan to show any of the birds you have tested again this fall you will not have to have them tested again.

You are more than welcome to enter any kind of bird and as many birds as you like, and same with the selling.

hope this answer helps. thanks again. mawchickkidie

That is very nice that you will have the testing available for free

But just so you know, it is only good for a year if the tester fills out the official NPIP parerwork for each bird. Most shows/fairs don't go to the trouble of doing that - then there is no proof that your bird has ever been tested if you were to show it somewhere else.

I didn't know that well at least they didn't mention that to me. they just told me that it will be free to everyone and good for a year. Thanks for letting us know.

it is up to those folks if they want the paperwork for the good for a year part. but in order to show or sell at chickenstock you will have to at least be tested. otherwise they will shut the show down. but the good for a year part is your choice.

That's great, I will make my mind up on what I'm going to do.
And I'll let you know asap if I am going to show any.
Thanks again Maw

Well Bob's costume is being made esp. for him and I should get it next week. Let hope it fits since there is no time to send it back to Canada to have it altered! Has anyone else entered the Costume contest?!

I guess I could enter a few other chickens...maybe some of the young pullet dahlings! They are so people friendly

Just to update the lthread, Poultry Press said yes to donating but I Love Chicken Poop has yet to send anything, though they said yes months ago

I still have to get a portable fan for Bob's fat butt and I am trying to get a wagon for him to hang out in when he's not caged. He's such a goober.

Oh and so you guys know what your competition looks like, this is The Bob

Ok... I haven't said anything for a while been kind of crazy here but anyway, I wanted to ask.....

When do I turn in my eggs I am donating and where. I just want to get there on time and I pray it is not raining and the eggs get dirty, I don't wash hatching eggs they tend to rot. I was and am planning on bringing, 6-Red Dorking eggs and 6-French cuckoo Marans eggs for two separate bids or you can do them as one. Your choice. Both are good and the Red Dorkings are rare, still in the come back stage. Is there a place to pick up my name tag and do I need money for fees or anything besides food to eat while I am there or should I planned on bringing a cooler of food, with drinks. (saving money cause can't stretch too far these days.)

Arklady

THats great arklady, as far as fees the only fees are for the main show, the costume contest and ugly chickens contest. there are no fees for the sales area, there will be a concession stand you might want money for that or you are more than welcome to bring your own I understand with prices as high as the are for everything. and money for buying anything like arts and crafts or raffles stuff or chickens. for the show entry fees if you will pm me your address I will send you a show catalog out with all the information and entry forms.

Hooligan BOB is handsome handaome man the comp will be tough with him there

I'm planing on going but this will depend on my Boston Female that is due to have puppies , if she has had her pups and all is okay I'll be there if not I wont.
I'm not going to enter this time due to I've been very busy and I'm staying that way. { new colt , new chicks, new puppies , kittens and more puppies.} etc.
I'm thinking about bring for sale some young roos, and a roo. eggs for eating, and some for hatching.
Hope we have a great turn out.

Woohoo!

When I asked Elaine about donations she offered to put an ad in there for free for us, she is one awesome lady!
Do you have a scanner so you can show us? We don't get it around here.
