I would definitely love to be in on this thing everyone is doing. I am from Heavener myself and can get you a name of a person to contact at OK Foods if he is still there-Probly is. For the life of my I cannot think of his last name but his first name is Gary out of the Fort Smith office. I know just about every chicken farmer in the Heavener-Poteau area. I'll see if I can come up with his last name today.

Don't forget how hot and humid it gets.
And chickens molting.
It sounds like a great idea, I'll be looking forward to this.
What about Atwoods and the Coop.

My young chicks will just be about right to sell or trade for this.

Lets hope for a great turn out and good weather.
If I think of any thing I'll post back.

Well I am still trying to get in touch with the fair board, on renting the barn at the fair grounds that would be purfect for this.

OOOH this all sounds fun!I live in Lawton, and would like to possibly join in the chicken games.I also know someone else who would be very interested.Uhm... what date would it be? has anyone figured it out yet? Also i would like to try to design a logo of some sort if thats ok(i like to draw)And,Im willing to help as much as i can with gathering people or whatnot.Lemme know something.Oh and the locale too would be a good thing...I forget to ask things....duh.Anyways it sounds fun and i would like to get my family involved as well. And dont know if it would be possible, but the colosseum usually rents out for events like this. They have livestock shows and such.I could try to see i its possible if all else fails.

Ok, Spoke to the fair board rep today, and they are going to have a meeting on the 1st of april to decuss the rent cost, I did check out date availibity and what I am looking at is June 6th or July 18 for a Friday or June 7th or July 19th for a Saturday. Now we need to vote on weather or not it should be on a Friday or on a Saturday. Whats best for everyone? I will know more on the actual date of the stock on April 2 or 3rd. Once we have the barn rented and the dates set. I will post to give everyone the go ahead to look for sponsers in their areas. I had another idea that I would like everyones opinion on, should we maybe make this like a joint type stock and invite pigons raisers and fanciers to join in and have 2 shows, and also water fowl fanciers? If we get up to 50 or more people maybe we might want to charge a small interance fee of say 2 dollars or so, to help cover costs? I know that combining the different fancys would make for a lot more fun. Let me know what ya'll think! Majerah1 you are more than welcome to draw us up a logo, and any help is more than appericated. Thanks for all the ideas and keep them coming!

Ok i will start to work on the design tonight.I think it would be best for a saturday so kids can come.I know my daughter is very interested in the event, and would rather spend all day than just a few hours.Just my 2 cents worth.

I'll have to sit this one out if it's in June. My family reunion is being planned for either the first or second week (they've not decided yet).
