Last night I candled my first egg. I finally figured out how to do it. I would never of been able to figure out how if it wasn't for all ya'll wonderful people at BYC. You guy's are great. 7 out of the 10 egg's had movement.

I just put in 7 speckled sussex in so I hope mine hatch.
You are useing the lamp for the chicks right?
If so I bought mine from Peavy Mart and it was 250 watt.

And as for the red light, you can get the setup at the farm supply store... or such. Just be sure to use a thermometer too, so you don't overdue it... or them (

). Might only need it for a couple weeks, if the weather is warm.
