(Also, wouldn't a kill pile be a horrid idea? It would attract large wild animals, quickly become infested with maggots, and basically smell like a huge festering wound within a day.)

Sapphire walked along watching for prey. She saw Lamb and took a few steps back, she had never seen a Fennec fox before.

Lamb had bad eyesight, but glorious hearing. She heard something move suddenly, and she stopped moving, even closer to the ground. She made a tiny hiss, scared to death of what could be near her.
