Ongoing respiratory sounds, but healthy

My rooster is always gurgling and wheezy. Half the time his crows are cut off like he has laryngitus. He sounds awefull, but hes healthy and strong and fertile. Anyone else have anything like this?

I once had a Pekin cockerel that sounded like he was gurgling when he crowed. I sold him when he was two, and he still gurgled. Has your boy always sounded like this?

Yes. Pretty much. He only started crowing very early spring 2018 (hatched last August). We did have ventilation issues early in the winter (first winter with chooks)....could that have caused it? But wouldn't he recover from that?

If he's always been like that, think your boy just makes weird noises. Some roosters sound very different than others.
