Well so far I had to tear the turner down and soak 3 rotten eggs out that seeped and stuck.I hatched one Barbanter 2 made it to lockdown.I got lots of Buffs in the hatcher now and something blue.Maybe a Maran not sure yet.Still Hatching.

Ok question to all......

I am going to re-work what I hatch out here on the farm. So, I know we have to have pure for the swap. So, correct me if I am wrong but is this how the forum see's it......

I rotate my flock and what I sell about every two years or so. This is what I think I will hatching out and raising for the next year or two.

EE....Not pure unless blue/green egg.. ( I have white American Roo with JG hens and BCM hens)

Frizzles

Red Sex Links (RIR or a Welsummer roo over RIW hens)

Black Sex link (RIR roo over Barred Rock hens) Or I may put all the RIW and Barred Hens in the same pen with one roo and a few RIR hens) I just have to watch my ratio.


These will be my main breeders so not sure how often I can offer. So, will any of the above work as pure. I would like to think the Sex links since you can sex at hatch but I will leave it up to you guys/girls.

My BCM roo is booted and the hens are not. So you will get both. I have.

Sex links are not pure. They are two different breeds. EEs are not pure. Ameracauna's are if they are true Ameacaunas. Blue eggs don't make them pure. Not sure on the frizzles. Frizzle what? For instance I have some frizzle Japanese. They are pure Japanese, but if I cross a frizzle cochin with a japanese, they are not pure. So technically, none of those are pure unless the frizzles are a pure breed. Now as to whether or not any are acceptable as the main trade item on this swap, I don't know.
