thread going.. why cant we all do that every so often.. This is so fun to me for none of my family likes the chicken thing so I sit and watch when
not out doing chores and when it sits for hours at a time well then suck it up and take the offer and go on for you know something you really
want or like is going to show up..

I agree with both of you. As I posted on the thread no need to make anyone feel that their offer is not welcome. This is suppose to be fun and I nice way to get some breeds that we may be looking for. As many of you know, I have lots of different breeds, so it is easy for me to offer up lots of choices but other only have a couple of breeds or breeds that are not laying currently so it is not easy for them and that should not prevent them from swapping. As long as they have one pure breed offer per the rules they can swap.

Hope everyone will be patient and not expect the chain to move fast all the time.

I have a question. Suppose I sent someone eggs for the egg chain. Just imagine some of them got broken by the post office. I sent extras just in case, and 6 eggs made it ok. Should I feel like I owe this person something? I do everything I can think of to protect eggs, even line the box with styrofoam when I get it. I have gotten broken eggs, it just happens. After all, they are fragile. What do you think?

As long as 6 eggs made it, I'd be O.K. with it if I was the receiver.. We can't help it that the p.o. plays football with some of the boxes no matter what they are marked.

This is what was said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I got the eggs today and oh what a mess.. I have no clue how it turned out so bad with the packing but
4 where crushed and the rest where covered in yolk I rinsed them and will let air dry and hopefully they are
ok.. I never would imagine with that box as solid as it was that anything could of been damaged.. I dont
think the po guys was happy about the yolk running out of the box on his counter:( I will check tonight to
see if the airsacs are still intact Lets hope anyhow..

6 didnt break but I will check tonight when I take eggs out of incubator to go to hatcher LOL.. seems Like I am always doing that.. I hope
they are still intact.. If not maybe we can do a trade and you can add some extras to make up for it..

I just thought I would mention that I have noticed that I get a lot of swap eggs in flat rate boxes. I have found in shipping my eggs that it is almost always less expensive to mail in the large 12x12x8 box by weight. Generally it is under $10.00. With the medium flat rate box at $10.95 and the large flat rate box $14.95 it certainly saves money and I have more room to work with. I hope this helps someone save a little money.
