The mini coop has a roof. Once that's done we just need the door, roost and some shade cloth and it'll be all set. I'm going to put in some hay before the chicks go in.

There's remodeling going on in the big coop. Loft is gone, new poop board going in and the roost extension.

The pop door is now big enough for Fugly to comfortably pass through. Not fancy but it does the job.

Snaps of the mini coop door. I like being able to keep the bigs out of there. The center in the bottom is covered in hwc.

Famous last words!
It all looks great, Kudos!!
Is last pic in new coop or old one?

I know! There's always something to tweak.

The last pic is the old one, the big house. The loft area that was there had become flimsy from wear and tear but wasn't used for roosting. The flock likes to spread out in summer so this gives them more room.

How do you like those nest boxes? I was looking at getting those.

I like them and the chickens seem to ok. Easy to clean for me, easy on and off the wall. I'm considering some vents in the tops. It gets brutally hot here in summer but the girls used them despite a nice nesting option that was in the corner there.

Hubs added a little ramp to the baby roost so the kids will be used to it by graduation to the big house. We are adding 13 new babies to the flock. Jersey Giant, Bresse, NN and not sure what else they have in their background.
