Ordered my 1st chicks!!

Exact 2 breeds I got 2 BRs and 2 RIRs when starting out. Now I have ordered 2 EEs and 1 Buff Orpington from POC(My pet chicken) and they are coming on October 13th! GREAT two choices for starting chicken raisers! If you want pictures just let me know.

Oh KatharinetheGr8, I am SO excited for you!!

Oh my goodness @Mutt Farm that is too funny! My favorite is the long-legged chicken jumping over the gates. Hilarious!

Wait is chicken agility a thing? Do people compete their birds in this sort of behavior??? I've certainly heard of it for dogs, but chickens?

Well yes it is a thing! Might be a secret society.

It's mostly embraced by animal behaviorists and professional trainers. It helps us focus on our training techniques. If you can train a chicken to dance... you can train anything! There are great videos on teaching chickens behaviors. It's so FUN!

Animal training be it dolphin, dog or chicken is all about getting the animal to perform natural behaviors on cue. So I guess, yes, any chicken could probably do it...its more about training ourselves!
