Oh, feather Lover Farms also has a 3 minimum, but they're incredibly expensive and don't have a ton of great reviews

I didn’t order any this year. I think I’m gonna hatch from my own stock this time.
I have 17 bantam Cochins about to go in lockdown tomorrow. After that I’ll start a batch of R I Reds.

I find ordering new chicks so much fun. I have a small backyard (front yard) flock and just ordered 4 new chicks for the spring. I am excited to learn what you ordered/plan to order or are excited for the 2023 year. I ordered a salmon faverolle, a bielefeder, a buff orpington and a lakeside egger. What did you get or are planning to get?

I just ordered from Hoovers Hatchery, and I’ve never had chicks or chickens before but we decided to go all out this year!

I ordered 5 light brahmas, 5 brown leghorns, and 5 barred rocks. I did not order a roo but plan to get him when “chick days” come back at the farm supply stores or get one off of Facebook. I am excited, they should be here the week of 2.15.23!

I have wanted them for a bit.
I cant decide which ones I like best.

I was in the same boat. I got Light Brahma hens and don't regret it a bit. They are great and fun to watch!

Also excited for spring. I have 1 light Brahma, 1 dark Brahma, and 4 sexlinks coming! That will make 10 chickens for me and I just started last Sept. only planning to keep 6 at a time

That is only 6 When you add them up on your fingers remember the thumb and pinky aren't real fingers anyways so it is only 6 !

Cackle has some small order specials. One is city / town female special 3. They have others as well a 10 and 5 bantam female option as well. But they are limited to a few breeds on those.
