Oregon Fall Poultry Swap! 9/25/10 11am **all details on first post!*

It looks like hubby and I will be able to attend after all. My summer job ended a week early and now trying to get everything in order and figure out what we have to sell/swap. Very excited that we can come and thrilled with the great weather forecast!! I'm going to list what we're bringing and if anyone wants a "hold" on something in particular please let me know. I'm putting prices with our birds, hope this is okay. Not sure if I'll bring for potluck, will probably try

Want- SQ Ameracauna Roo, consider good-quality. Might want two depending on color(s)

Have-Lots of pullets, some have just started to lay. All born from begining of March thru May. Have been raised free-ranged in large barnyard and pasture areas with free choice pellets. Breeds available- Buff Orpingtons, GL and SL Wyandottes $15 ea. Mottled Javas $20ea.

Easter Egger Hens, from last year, $10ea.

Roosters- Young BC Marans, Mottled Javas and Ameracauna $10ea.
Silkie Roos $7ea.

Banties-1 each-Cornish Hen, D'Uccle Roo, Ameracauna Roo $5ea.

Coturnix Quail $3ea.

1 Bourban Red Tom Turkey. 16 months old. Good breeder and temperament. We lost his mate to coyote so he needs new home. $30

Whew!! That's it I think:D Prices not set in stone; open to offers, swaps and quantity discounts!!

I thought it might be a good idea to post potluck items.

ZooMummzy-I'm planning on bringing at least 2 cheesecakes, sliced

Oregon Jen- Assorted Goat cheeses (chevre, queso Blanco and Feta) with fancy Trader Joes crackers and gourmet breads
(I am also going to try and remember hand sanitizer) You can never have enough of that at a poultry event, LOL!

Celiandy-I'll be bringing a bunch of goat cheese too for the potluck, all different flavors. I'll try to pick up some crackers or something to go with them

Sounds like there will be no shortage of dairy products. I also remember some talk of pickled carrots and it seems like I might be forgetting something. Just let me know if I forgot something and I will be happy to add it on.

feathers for Fun

I would love to buy or trade for your gold laced wyandotte and SLW hens. I have a few NICE SQ Ameraucana cockerels to choose from also.

Oh crud!!! I missed the new listing:/ Started working on my list a couple hours ago but guess I'm just to easily sidetracked! So will it have to wait for the next updated list in 4 or 5 pages? Also didn't mention, we will take unwanted chickens and roos, however, can't promise not to eat, our family LOVES chicken & dumplings to much!

I have a nice Ameracauna Roo in Blue. He is a cross from two SQ parents/lines but his coloring isn't even enough and he is a little bit small.

What varieties of Coturnix Quail do you have?

Do you have pictures of your EE hens? I'm working on adding variety to my flock and would like new colors. Your Ameracauna roo might interest me for such a job as well.

What line is your BCM roo? Do you have sample egg shells, such as the one he hatched from?
