I'm lucky in that my husband doesn't mind the chickens.
I won't be able to make the swap as I am going to my husband's high school reunion that weekend. I will, however, be at the PNPA show in Stevenson, WA exhibiting and selling some extra stock.
I am definitely exhibiting silkies and probably a pair of Buff American geese (which I hope to sell for someone to take home at the end of the show). I will have to sell some well started (2-4 month old) silkie chicks from SQ stock. I will not be bringing any with DQ's, but these will eb ones I chose not to hold back.
If I still have them, I might also be bringing 14 sumatra chicks from Duane Urch. They were mislabeled at a 4-h chick auction as Wyandottes (you couldn't pick them up to examine them and I couldn't get close enough to get a good look- too crowded), but they are nice little Sumatras. I need to concentrate on the two chicken breeds I already have (wyandottes and silkies). As far as I can tell they meet the standard thus far, most have dark legs and feet with yellow footpads, dark tiny comb, dark almost non-existent wattles, and dark eyes. Some have some yellow on the top of the foot, but I have been told sumatras will darken when in the sun, and these are still in a brooder in the shop-- no sunlight. *shrug*
