I brood in the coop from day one (have a panel I put up to separate an area from the big girls).....they are off heat and integrating with the flock by 4 weeks.Hello, I live in Eugene/ junction city area, what age would you put baby chicks out side in a coop? My last 2 sets I put out side around 12 weeks. The chicks I have now are 5 weeks old. But I’m wondering what everyone else does around the area. Lol let’s be honest they don’t smell like roses![]()

I put mine out around 6-8 weeks too, depending on the temperature outside. I'm in Oakridge, and mine usually go out in late April or early May (after being raised in our bathroom! Phew!)I put mine out at 6 weeks and I live in Central Oregon.
