I guess my birds are odd, they go broody in the middle of summer, usually late June, both my cubalayas and one cuckoo Marans. They have been acting like they may brood in spring this year. Who knows

what they are thinking, it has been in single digits and windy. GREAT time for chicks, right girls?

Could be like my grandpa used to say....you're not holding your tongue right...or maybe that was just for fishing! Wow! I bought two silkie hens so my roosters would have more and they stay broody all the time. Maybe you need to threaten that....

ok i dont love my silkies like some of the ppl on that thread do!!!! lol thats a bit much! ill just waittill she goes broody... shes still young so thats probly the issue...
