I have 2 business trips lined up for San Diego and have some time to kill. Are there any Orientals Game members in SD outthere? Would like to meet to kill time ....

I am in N CA. San Diego is really nice, (I lived there many years ago), I hope you get some time to enjoy the area (beach, museums, etc).

I did get a couple pullets but not anything interesting per say... hubby wanted to make sure they where girls only, so I have 2 laying birds I am studying & raising. Very interesting on how different they are even though same "breed". So that is good I finally have 2 chickens... lol. I also had to go with smaller sized breed as the coop is small. So they are EE/Amercuanas. I would have been jazzed to get either the sumatra or yokohamas or one of the oriental games I like (I like very different breeds) but I was not allowed to touch the chicks to sex them so I had to go with a laying breed that lb/size wise is on the smaller size and pre sexed. But having fun anyway. Will be interesting to see what they lay when they get old enough (I had this breed before, that is part of the fun with them).

So far my brick floor idea to keep predators out of the coop is working.
