All the American Orps I see are bleached-looking and mottled in shades.

True actually. Darn. Isn't there bantam Orps? It's mainly all floof though, just sandwich them all together. Problem solved.

Orpingtons and Cochins are both amazing, my first two birds were Paddington the Buff Orpington, and Alice the Pekin Cochin Bantam, they were the best. Both of them sadly passed away.
they were best friends. they're both the best breeds in my eyes.

I'm going to agree with Overo. Bantam Cochins are the best. English orps are second though.
