Yes the post were notified, they were supposed to call us and they did. They even let us come in after hours. We had about 42 chicks, about 16-17 alive and 35 dead but 2 might die overnight, 2 I think in specific will die but who knows what else. A lot of the feather footed died, cochins brahamas, a turken lived, but mostly what thrived were OEGB's or some sort of game, OEGB and modern I think. They have LONG legs (i love long legged chickens! well modern I love) and they run around like they have a gallon of sugar in them. The turken stomps around ruling the roost (its so cute, shes gentle and sweet but shes the only standard so she like rules the roost and she pecks the food off the other chickens!! LOL) and the other chickens havent made much of an impression yet, except for like being known for sleeping in water! Oh and when we brought in a mama chicken (she wasnt a very good mama) and she hopped out to find food we put her back in their little box with food and the turken hopped up next to her and tryed to eat with her! I love turkens just because of this one!
