This took about 6 hours and we were able to use wood leftover from another project. Love those $0 improvements! Can't wait to finish outfitting the rest of the shed and move the girls in!

Hope everyone likes it. Repurposing and free are the best!

Might want to pull it away from the back wall some; hard to tell, but it doesn't look like there is enough distance from the wall and top roost, for it to be usable.
The top brace is flush against the wall, but the actual top roost bar is about 6 inches out from the wall. It's hard to tell that with the angle of the picture. If the girls try to roost on the brace (which they probably will) we'll pull it out a bit. Thanks!

Top roost should be 12" or more from the wall so while they may try it don't be surprised to see birds with their faces or butts right up at the wall.

The brace unfortunately will likely get pooped on, a lot, if they do sit up there.

We made all of the roost bars removable so if they get out of hand or too smooshed at the top, we can always take that bar out. We only have 7 hens so they'd still have plenty of room to roost. Thanks!
