Ohhh! Chicks and pics---it's going to be a good day! I had to go back to find Clementine and she is.... perfect. Sigh.....

Kathy, you are in lockdown already? Sheesh time is flying by. Good luck and I need pics, pics and more pics.

Oh and for reference, Blue orps do not like pepperoni pizza. LOL she won't even taste it. But the scrambled eggs are going down like crazy.

so glad the chick made it Joy. I have busted a few out myself. If they don't hatch I always listen to see if I hear any peeping or pecking after day 21 and everyone else seems finished cause it seem like once you up the humidity and then it starts drying out in the hovabator the shells get harder.
Well I don't know if I hope it is a boy or girl. What colors did you get?

Yeah, the membrane was really, really dry...almost like it was shrink-wrapped, so I had to help it out. He had managed to zip about 1/4 of the shell and he was trying really hard to get out. I left him alone for quite a few hours and he was making no progress. I'd rather help him out of the shell than have him die in it, so I helped him. I hope he makes it. I'm keeping a close eye on the navel. He is eating and drinking, but haven't seen the poo yet, but I"m watching. I am feeding hand-rearing formula to give the chick an extra boost.

The little Clementine chick looks black (I hope) I really need a good black English cockerel, all my other cockerels are blue, but I'll take a black or blue cockerel or pullet...LOL. The 3 Minerva chicks are blue and are the fattest little things you have ever seen. They look like little butterballs. I might just have to name one "Butterball" LOL.

I'll get some pictures this evening and post them. I also want to get a few more pictures of The O's, Hagrid, Rumples, and Bluebell and post those.

woohoo! so do they end up being black, splash or blue? sorry I'm new to these guys. I have lavs and a black from hinkjc an of course many buffs!
