Thank you, it is non slip shelf liner. I'm using boot trays under their food and water and they are smooth plastic. I didn't want the babies to be slipping and sliding.

what a great idea. I may have to make something like this but with something smaller. i just have a plastic bin as a brooder, and i set their food and water on a 2x4 to get it up alittle, I use pine shaving covered by paper towels for the first few days. Then it's just the pine shavings which seem to always pile up in the water. Thanks for sharing, the info.
