The grey one in the upper left (I'm told) is Gwen's Silver Laced Wyandotte. she has already named her "Sparkle".

Their brooder is a recycled aquarium. The bedding is granulated PDZ. Their MHP is at the left end.

I guess it's time to get off my duff and get to work finishing their coop!

Oh, and don’t they try to eat it?
Hi! Until the OP comes back to respond...chickens can safely eat the zeolite like grit, but with very young chicks (like grit) I'd monitor them to make sure they're not filling up on it instead of their chick starter (sometimes youngsters don't distinguish between nutritious and non-nutritious well and this is an important stage in their growth and development). This BYC thread has more info.

Thanks for the reply. How ofte did you need to change the pdz? I have two aquariums to brood the chicks in this year and the pdz looks like a good way to go. I used to use diaper pads (I hope that is a vorrect tanslation, English is not my mother tongue) but they get messy really fast.
