I'm glad you're back and I'm so sorry for what your going through. I've lived through something very similar. Our mobile home was a total loss. Despite the fact that it started at 4 a.m., we all made it out. We did lose one cat. We had to drive 50 miles each way to care for our animals. The thing that I took away from it was to be even more grateful to God for my family and to realize how very little my possessions mattered in comparison. Go easy with yourself. That kind of trauma does heal but not overnight. Love and prayers, Kate.

Who is your insurance company? Is there a state agency that oversees them? I am guessing that you lost your records in the fire.
