Our Lexie Passed On At 2 A.M.

So very sorry. It is never easy to lose those special ones. I have lots too many over the years, and everytime I feel like cutting back, but I love them so, even though the heartbreak.

Sorry Cyn

Thanks, all. I counted and since the beginning, I've lost 20 birds. Lexie wasn't the most cuddly of the girls, rarely wanted to be picked up, but she would on occasion jump up on my knee when I was sitting on a lawn chair or the hammock and just sit with me for a bit. She and Ivy gave me my love of Barred Rocks and I'm sure I'll have that till the end of my days. Many birds will come and go, but I'll never forget my first Barred Rocks.

I know your heart is hurting, and I am so sorry for your loss. Lexie will always hold a special place in your hearts. I'll hug my girls & boys a little tighter today in honor of Lexie.

I hope you can learn something about the internal laying that may be of help in the future.

Don't forget there are more hens waiting to bring someone joy and peace.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of your special girl, Lexi. Thanks for sharing those photos and your story. She was clearly very well loved.
Hang in there.
