It’s hard to get close ups as they are behind that wire... and it is still early so maybe it’s nothing but her comb looks just a bit more pink than the others... so I don’t know... I am actually pretty good at identifying a little cockerel early on... but hopefully this time I’m wrong!

It’s hard to get close ups as they are behind that wire... and it is still early so maybe it’s nothing but her comb looks just a bit more pink than the others... so I don’t know... I am actually pretty good at identifying a little cockerel early on... but hopefully this time I’m wrong!

What a great way to start my morning...laughing...

I went out to the chicken pen a little later than usual this morning! I found a broken and eaten egg in the enclosed pen today...I hope this does not become a problem! We will be going to see my son and his family tomorrow, I get to snuggle our baby, so I won't be able to keep up with it and can't expect my oldest son to run out there as often as I would...oh well, we'll see what happens! My rabbit Daphne is due at the end of the week...if she's pregnant. We will be back on Friday, so hopefully I will get home in time! I will add her nesting box back into her hutch and fill it with hay just before we leave!

I treated myself to an egg collecting basket...the price was right & I like the looks of it! One of my girls laid a light cream colored egg, so another great addition to my color basket!

It's actually the one in the middle, the white looking egg at the bottom is actually blue, but kind of washed out in this picture!

I need to take pictures outside, the colors come out much better! Same eggs as above!
