I spent a little more time working on the fence and decided that I'm going to buy some new welded wire, I can get enough to finish the job for around $60. It will be worth it as what I was doing was using smaller sections and I just don't like how it looks and I won't have enough to finish it anyway, so I might as well do the job right and be happy with it, instead of scabbing pieces together and being unhappy with it! So that rotten jailbird will be in lockup until Thursday or Friday as I can't get into town until then! She's doing fine there, just not completely happy, I give her treats along with everyone else and the space is always in the shade! I just want to keep her safe!

My little Houdini laid an egg in prison...one of the roosters kept hanging around, I think he was hoping for conjugal visits...

On a more serious note, one of my BO hens has been in the coop for several hours, in a nesting box, out of a nesting box, watching her sisters lay their eggs...I'm beginning to think she might be having a problem! When do you think I should start to be concerned? I will probably ask this question on the laying forum also! Thanks!

Thank you! I was actually just looking at an article that talks about symptoms and then how to treat, if that's what is going on! Great minds think alike...lol!

Do I take it you have Marans? Sorry, I'm still trying to get everyone sorted out but those dark brown eggs are lovely! Who lays the speckly one in the bottom left corner?
