I've been researching ideas on how we are going to remodel our kitchen! We decided that we are going to re-stain the lower cabinets a darker color and paint the uppers white. So my husband tells me yesterday that I can start getting the doors prepped and ready for stain, (he's currently building new end tables for the living room, so I guess I need a project too)...before Christmas...I don't know what he's thinking... I'm sure he just wants to get the job done as quickly as possible and we will be gone for a couple of weeks in January...but I'm willing to wait until we get home...he probably doesn't want to be remodeling when Spring golf starts again...

I just made Debby's @N F C's Eggnog! It is delicious! I made half of the recipe and poured it into a cute bottle that we got from a creamery that is a couple of hours from where we live!

Here is the link to the recipe! I will never go back to store bought eggnog!

Oooo, exciting! Please post pics.. we are gonna start doing my bedroom and bath but we have to wait until hunting season is over... I bought a new dresser and chest and a post bed... I can’t wait till we get it done so I can start using it... then we’ll start moving around the house..we will eventually get to the kitchen and we plan to paint our cabinets as well.. so I’d love to see ideas!

I'll share for sure. We did our powder room several years ago & the laundry last year. After the kitchen we will be doing our master bath & we might make some changes in our bedroom. Then we will do the kids bath. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
I'm sharing a picture of our laundry...we put in new tile(it matches the powder room) my husband & I built the cabinets & painted them. The only cabinets he didn't build for our house are the ones in our kitchen...we were pretty wiped out from building the house...so we decided to have them built. I really didn't want to paint & stain the kitchen cabinets, but it would cost us over $5k to have it done...so here we go again!

I'm wearing a grocery sack to keep paint out of my hair...I gave hubs a real hair protector!

Thank you so much! I've been very happy with the changes we've made! We work on the design ideas together & my husband figures out the techniques...then we build it together! It's so much prettier now than what we originally did when we built the house 25 years ago!
