We have more eggs than we can use too. I want the Legbars, because they're beautiful, but I also want to breed them for some Olive Eggers. I love colorful eggs, so other than that I'm with you, just whatever I love the looks of. Another one I really like is the Barnevelder!

So beautiful! I just love her color and the penciling on the feathers and I wouldn't care if she didn't lay any eggs!

Thank you! It is hard especially when I think that I might have been able to prevent it from happening. The Silkies have been segregated for right now, I wanted to see if it would make a difference and I can already see that it has! It's so much more peaceful, not perfect from a human perspective, but better!

Anyone ready to hunt Easter eggs? You don't even have to color these! All but one of these are from today, I added the brown freckled egg on the right hand side is from yesterdays collection, because it's just so pretty! Pearl one of my EE's has finally started laying again. Her eggs are more green in color than Penny's eggs. This is the first time she's laid an egg since she was sick with Coccidiosis, I'm so happy as I feel like she is fully healed now!

I like those, just not sure how they would deal with our cold, long winters.

Speckled Sussex are definitely on my 'next' list...had some in a previous flock and love them!

As for any others, I'm leaving my options open

SS is still on my list too, Debby. They are beautiful. I had ordered one with my chicks last year but they accidently sent a Welsummer instead

My Barnevelder was by far one of my favorites, if not my favorite. She had a great personality and very friendly. I would highly recommend!
