Hi, I guess you heard us all calling you! Nice to have you here!

You know what your priorities are when you have a large empty box & the first thing you see is...chick brooder...

Taking a little break, then I have to get back at it!

So, I decided that the chicks needed some roosting bars in the pen! I find some branches & set them in place...the chicks loved them...then my husband has to show off, he grabs his chainsaw, goes out & cuts down a willow tree that was starting to shade out our walnut trees & we proceed to add more roosts! The following pictures tell the story best...

We removed a tree that my husband planted near the garden quite a few years ago, it was a Japanese Snowbell. As our tree line has grown it's been shading out more of our garden area and we need more space, so we decided it had to go! I think we are going to build some more raised beds in it's place.

It was a nice little diversion from the heavier work we're doing and the chicks really are enjoying it!

Time for a lunch break, we ordered take out and my husband is picking it up, so I can be lazy and post a little update!

We pounded the posts in the back section yesterday and attached the upper section of wire today!

This pic shows the difference in height of the old fence on the right & the addition.
