I would say that's a good assumption! People need to take care of their animals and honestly, he's a very large dog, so kind of scary! I've known some really sweet Rottweilers, but I don't trust the unknown ones!

It's best to proceed with caution when you don't know a stray dog, not only for your animals but for yourself too.

I have a great respect for them! I have no desire to be mauled by a dog of that size, I wouldn't stand a chance!

Time for a dust bath! There was one more hen and she moved just before I started to take the video! I am enjoying these chicks so much!

Some pictures of my Copper Marans! These are not the best pictures, they didn't want to pose for me...lol, but I'm pretty certain now that I have 2 Roo's and 2 hens! I'm still not seeing any copper in them, I wish I could have gotten them from Alchemist Farms, but they are a bit spendy! These are the ones I wanted for the eggs, but also for the looks, but as long as the eggs stand up to what they are supposed to be, I will be happy...well...mostly happy! Lol

I'm still not seeing any copper in them, I wish I could have gotten them from Alchemist Farms, but they are a bit spendy! Gorgeous! I think yours will be lovely... and you’ll be pleased.. I like my Cuckoo Marans.. she is a nice quiet gal... minds her own business... and lays large dark brown eggs!

I just noticed that my Salmon Faverolle has an extra toe on each foot...how did I not see this before! I did some research and learned that is a characteristic of the breed! I just saw friendly chicken that was also cute & went with it...lol

I hope they have the beautiful color, I know that the hens are more likely to have very little copper, but I really hope the roosters color up nicely! I'm very excited about the eggs. I have 4 Marans hens - 2 Midnight Majesty's and the 2 Copper! I should get some beautiful eggs from them!

We made a little more progress on the chicken pen yesterday! My husband has been working on the posts for the gate and we were able to set it in place! We will be putting a post across the top to make sure the weight of the gate doesn't make it sag. I have a friend who is going to make a powder coated metal sign for me to place on top! It will have a hen & rooster on the left and a rabbit on the right! In between it will say, "Fluffy Butts & Bunnies". It will probably be a couple months before that happens though!
