Hey all,
I'm looking for a way to store eggs outdoors for short amounts of time (1-3 days max). Our chicken coop is actually on a high school campus, and the students are mostly in charge of taking care of the chickens during the day.
Since it's important to get the eggs away from the nesting box as soon as possible, we would like to create some kind of outdoor storage to temporarily keep the eggs in until one of us faculty members can put them inside. The school is in Massachusetts, so we'll have to change our method once it snows, but I'm mostly looking for a temporary solution for the summer once all of our 15 chickens start laying!
Any thoughts on how to do this cheaply and safely?
