Our temps here are in the teens. Sometimes lower. Would eggs freeze if they are shipped to me? Can a handwarmer be used safely? Would it keep the temp inside the box abouve freezing?
Thanks

I believe that a similar thing is used to ship short orders of chicks. It will work if you keep insulation between the eggs and the warmer. As a matter of fact, we were taught that handwarmers could be used to soft cook eggs in survival situations, so be wary. Make a test run before counting on it, unless someone can give you exact brand/size/packing info that they themselves have used.

TRY it, I want to know how well it works!

Ok, how about putting the warmer on the bottom of the box and taping it in place then adding shipping peanuts or whatever you normally use to protect the egg carton. Would this work?
Any thoughts?

I read that too.
How about wrapping the carton in bubble wrap and then quilt batting... then adding the warmer to the box. Maybe have the warmer in quilt batting too?
Would this work?
