I’m guessing it’s taking a break. I won’t open it just yet. I understand what you mean by the bleed-out. They only peep if they internally pip right? That can’t happen before?
right now the chick is resting from the internal pip and it should start to externally pip soon. After it externally pip it could take anywhere from an hour to 24 hours for the chick to zip and fully hatch. Hatching is super stressful, but if you are patient, it it usually pays off. If you think the chick is stuck, or having an externally difficult time, this is a good article to read. Be super careful if you decide to do this, and don’t rush.
