I went to the ducks pen this morning and found 3 dead and 4 injured. An owl went through the deer netting on top. Had to butcher the survivors this morning.

so very sorry. Great Horned Owls will wipe out your ducks. I had a friend lose all his ducks to a GHO but just one per night. It would take them during the day at his pond.

Thats terrible but why did you butcher the survivors? You can just put on some neosporin on them and wrap them in gauze and theyd be all good.

Deer netting isn't strong enough to stop anything. Just about any predator can go through it, as do the deer.
