P&I PI12/24 Incubator Help

I have had mine for just over 10 days ... I can't work out how to change the amount of rotations ... my question is if I lose power will my clutch of eggs in the incubator be destroyed ???

How about using something like this: http://r.ebay.com/gQyyzq

83%!!! Yes, you do need to get some water out. :) I use a small cup of water (diameter around 43 mm) to keep the correct level of humidity, easier to control and fill. By hatching time I either change to a slightly wider cup or add another cup.

So far, I like the machine too - it reaches temp fast and keeps it steady. I'm on day 15 now, hopefully it works as well through the hatching. :)

^ It depends how long the power is out, a few hours won't hurt - but, you need to keep the humidity under control.

what 2 channels? My incubator has like a maze of channels and they are not connected. I had filled them per instructions but now I have blotted half of them dry. Down to 55% now. So will set the eggs, it should go down slowly over a days time. Plus it doesnt matter at this stage anyways.

If your using the same unit as the OP you will find 2 holes in the front marked A and B ... they could be an overflow !!
I have the same exact unit but no holes in the yellow bottom or the top lid except for the one hole on top visible in the picture in OP.

Nope! they must have made a mod on this model and the existing stock out there must have been without the holes. No wonder I got it for 119 instead of list price on Amazon. I am thinking I should make 2 holes myself with a heated metal. After I put the eggs in, humidity went back up to 70% and despite the bowl of rice I have put in, its not going down.

I used a small cup of water, it worked fine. On day 19 I took the cup out and filled the middle section at the bottom and humidity went up to around 60%.

My first batch is about to hatch now - brahma babies. :)
