A while back Joe sent me a mother from his kombucha tea.

The jar arrived broken - shattered to bits actually.

But the box of black tea was intact.

I never told Joe what happened. Ooops! I felt so bad it came broken!

It took me 6 weeks but I saught out a bottle of raw organic kombucha tea in my market.

I pampered coaxed and tended it.

Hahaha! I lie!

I ignored the nasty thing that drew fruit flies to my kitchen!

This is a 3 gallon jar.

How's this for the mother I grew, Joe?

It is a probiotic, fermented, living food.

The thing floating on top is a mushroom of sorts I grew from the 'witches brew'.

You use it to make more tea.

It has a very rich and deep history in China as being a 'fountain of youth' tonic.

Honestly, it smells alot like apple cider vinegar. It sort of tastes like it too.

It helps cleans the body of toxins and give your cells some rejuvenation.

You have to start off in tiny sips and build up to about 1/2 - 1 cup a day.

1 cup on day 1 and you'll be in the bathroom wondering what the heck happened.

Hahahahahaha!

Kombucha Tea

I'm probably missing the benefits of the fermentation process. I love black and green tea, but I've never heard of the kombucha tea and its probiotic benefits. What is it supposed to do?

I DID read your earlier post; I should have said, "how does it do what it does?" meaning how does it accomplish the internal cleansing? Is it a colon cleanser, kidney cleanser, or what? In large doses does it have an effect like cascara or something along that line?
